If you want to see how the Locals live, this place is for you! Nestled under large Lowcountry Live Oaks, this place is a serene gem to get the "True Lowcountry Feel". Wake up on 3 acres of privacy to an uninterrupted view of a Whale Branch River. Enjoy your coffee on the dock while watching dolphins and stingray swimming by. Or go back to your childhood while swinging in a picturesque white swing hung from a large live oak. It's a bird watchers paradise, with all the local birds to include multiple sightings of Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, Egrets, Osprey, Painted Buntings and our Night Owl who can be seen (and heard) with a keen eye swooping by searching for prey. Catch your dinner from the dock: crabbing for Blue Crabs, throwing the cast net for shrimp or fishing for numerous local species. For the active and adventurous, take a kayak trip or swim from the dock, or up to a six mile walk/run on an oak tree canopied dirt road, backing up to untouched plantation land. After a day exploring this beautiful place, enjoy conversation while playing corn hole or just relaxing by the firepit with a smore or two. There's truly no better place to wind down and take life in. We are blessed to call it home.
Although you won't want to leave, we are conveniently located 10 mins off I-95 and situated in the middle of many amazing historical sites, cities, golf communities and beaches; 9 miles from Old Sheldon Church Ruins, 24 miles from "Beautiful Beaufort by the Sea", Parris Island, Sands Beach, 30 miles from Hunting Island State Park, 55 miles from Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head.
This unique property is our guest house which is located as a walkout basement to our permanent home with total privacy and a separate entrance. You will hear the pitter patter of feet and may be greeted by one of our two very friendly dogs on occasions. The kitchen area has lower ceilings, so anyone over 6'5 may need to duck a little. The host is readily available and willing to help educate you on the area and if you are lucky, there may be a boat ride offered.
