Thrapston High Street is a 4 minute walk (0.2 miles) where you can find a vast selection of artisan shops even boasting a high street butchers and bakers. These are nestled in amongst the local post office, pharmacy, beauticians, a barbers plus an array of takeaway establishments
For a more substantial grocery shop there is a Co-op, which is an 8 minute walk (0.4 miles) located on Sackville Street.
If you are visiting us on the first Saturday of the month you will have the pleasure of browsing our local ‘Farmers Market’ which is accredited to FARMA ASSOCIATION and is a very successful monthly market with over 20 stalls each offering something different
A wonderful range of produce available including; pies, organic eggs and free range poultry, fish, organic pork and lamb, crayfish fishcakes, pickles, chilli sauces, bread, cheese, fruit and vegetables, pies, honey, preserves, hot drinks and snacks, plants, wax melts and a great variety of cakes & traybakes.
For a relaxing pint and to enjoy some of the local banter there’s a selection of pubs on the High Street, namely The Kings Arms, The Fox Inn, The Masons Arms and the Court House Inn. For a more relaxed ‘country pub’ feel we have the Woolpack Inn if you turn left on Bridge St, over the bridge and you will see it on the corner of the road next to the roundabout, it’s only 0.5 miles & certainly within walking distance.

Named after Brigadier Hugo Craster Wakeford Ironside OBE was born in Thrapston (14 June 1918 – 3 October 2008) and a British Army officer who, during World War II, tunnelled out of a Prisoner of War camp and later helped construct a glider, known as the 'Colditz Cock'.
The property is suitable for business travellers with its excellent road links and families visiting the area or people in-between moving house & waiting for the final pieces of the jigsaw to fall into place.
The kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils, a hob, oven, microwave and fridge freezer.
All three bedrooms can be either set up as king size beds or twin beds (ideal for contractors), plus we have a double sofa bed just let us know your preference on the guest arrival form.
The property is fitted with a device which monitors the noise level, temperature, the number of people in the property, motion within the property, the humidity and moisture. All of these can be checked remotely in real time and the device is programmed to alert us if any of the items monitored exceed a programmed threshold
