Positive: The open layout was great, with lots of space for different activities as well as dining and seating areas where we could all be together. Good quality appliances and materials were used throughout, and we had nice pots, pans, and dishes to use. It had thoughtful interior design that looked like the photos, and was well-maintained. Black Mountain is a charming small town, lots of unique shops and restaurants, and easy driving distance to Asheville, hiking, the Biltmore, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Negative: It would be nice to find a “bear-secure” trash solution other than taking it to a separate location - but a common challenge in that area.
Summary: Charming cottage, close to amenities and the mountains.
