Summary: Staying here was like being part of the family. The host and family weren't present but the presence of family photos and homework reports posted on the fridge reminded me of coming back to my parents home after being away at college. The rustic wooden floors brought out the historic beauty of the house which was very spacious for our 5 guests. The younger crowd enjoyed the video projector that converts the living room into a home theater. The master bed was extremely firm and the futon slept comfortably. The separate dining area was inviting for a warm family meal and the back deck offered privacy for our morning coffee. The neighbor with the red door was friendly and even offered to move his truck to make space for our truck and trailer. The location was perfect for us as we were participating in Riverfest downtown and it is a short distance away from the historic waterfront area. I suggest closely looking at the map to be sure it is the right location for your visit. Be sure to read all the rules so you know if this is the right home for your stay. If we find ourselves needing to visit Wilmington again we would be happy to stay here.
