Positive: - The house itself is gorgeous, very spacious, tastefully decorated and perfect for families. - The area is incredibly beautiful, with cosy Brevard close-by and great hikes all around. - Quick and polite responses from the host.
Negative: - While the electronics were good, facilities in general were in poor condition and not worth the price we paid. For instance, there were only two cooking pots, one badly scratched in the bottom and the other one not even usable on the induction stovetop; the vent was broken with a missing panel, letting steam gather and drip while cooking; the fridge was so loud we had to turn it to its lowest level; billiard table was uneven and most cues had broken tips; chandelier had lights out and was hanging so low that everybody kept banging their head on it, etc. - The code for the house had been changed from the one we were provided before our arrival. - The neighbourhood and especially the driveway to the house are very, very steep. Not every car will be able to reach it in different kinds of weather, and we were even told by locals that some streets close in bad conditions. Our car managed and we were lucky with the weather, but we wished we had been warned in advance.
Summary: Beautiful house and location with subpar facilities for the price
