Built in 2008, this two-story home has wonderful views of Black Mountain and Montreat. The top floor has a primary suite with a king bed and full bath and a spacious great room with a gas fireplace, kitchen & dining areas. The great room opens to a large screened porch, perfect for viewing, rocking, and outdoor eating. The patio just outside the screened porch has a gas grill. The lower level of Massey Cottage has a full bath and a half bath, a laundry room, and three bedrooms---one with a queen & two with two twins each. For additional sleeping accommodations, there is a double sleeper sofa in the great room. All bedrooms have a full view of the valley. The home offers all the modern amenities, including A/C, dishwasher, washer & dryer, DVD player, and wireless internet access.
NOTE from The Massey's regarding the driveway: The split driveway is steep but accommodates parking for 3-4 cars just outside the entry doors It has two turns, and for those not used to making sharp turns on a steep hill, this tip may be helpful: Do not turn into the curve too soon; instead, when approaching the turn, swing out a little and go along the farther (and longer) edge of the curve. At our driveway, this means keeping close to the line of pines at the street entry and close to the upper bank at the second entry. Likewise, stay close to both when exiting. This has worked for the ordinary sedans that we drive.
This house does not provide sheets and towels but they can be rented from Greybeard Rentals. This property does NOT rent to youth groups
