The greenway stretches for a couple of miles from the Rocky Ford River access point, through Cawtaba Park, and onto Freedom Park, where there is a soccer complex, dog park, picnic areas, and tennis courts. The quaint downtown area of Morganton offers grocery shopping, movies, shopping, and plenty of excellent dining options. Famous Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain State Park, and Lake James are all within an hour of the cabin.
