The “Shabby Shack” named for its adorable laid-back, shabby-chic décor, is a quaint 2BD/1BA lakeside cottage on Lake Seminole. With subtle elements of cabin warmth, from beadboard walls to the fun distressed tin roof ceiling, and chalkboard kitchen complete with retro Ampco double sink, this cozy shabby-chic cottage will make you feel right at home.
The large outdoor deck overlooks the private pond out back, home to birds and wildlife aplenty. The pond feels private with a wooded peninsula enveloping it, however, the waterway winds and opens out directly to Lake Seminole for greater water access. Enjoy boating, angling, an array of watersports (skiing, tubing, etc.), grade-A bass fishing, and duck hunting just steps from the back door.
The master bedroom is quite large with a king-size bed, and a day bed tucked discreetly in the corner. The other room serves as a bunkroom for overflow/vacationing family members. There is an outdoor shower with hot water or cold if you want to cool off. As well as an outdoor firepit for evening enjoyment. There is also a small charcoal grill under the carport.
As for location, this cottage is ideal. Waterfront restaurants and other provisions are just a quick drive away. It is less than five minutes from Trails End Marina for boat launch/ramp and Pop's Dockside Grill. The dollar store and Lake Seminole Outdoors are a short drive away for food and staples. Fins & Feathers, Big Jim's, and Pond House Restaurant are in close proximity for dining.
Rental includes private access to the entire cottage. There is a king bed and a daybed in the master bedroom and two sets of bunk beds in the spare room. The yard is quite large, and will easily accommodate boat/trailer parking.
