This charming house is in the heart of Plaza-Midwood, Charlotte's hippest neighborhood. You are literally steps away from breweries, amazing restaurants, and some of the best night life in the Queen City. The welcoming space has a large gathering area with a 55" smart TV, fireplace and coffee bar stocked with some of the Queen City's best beans. You also have a fully stocked kitchen, dining area/work space and a porch with a tree-house feel to enjoy the cool evenings.
The first floor provides a big, open space to hang out in, complete with a large 55" smart TV, fireplace and a sofa with a pull-out queen-sized memory foam mattress. The coffee/wine bar includes a sink and mini fridge so you don't have to go upstairs to keep the party going. There is also a full-size washer and dryer, and full bath with a giant bathtub.
The second floor features beautiful heart of pine floors and has both bedrooms - each with comfy queen beds. There is a full-size bathroom and a dining area that can also be used as a work space. The kitchen comes complete with full size fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher and all the dishes, utensils and cookware you will need to make your own meals. There is a deck that can be used to dine or have drinks on and enjoy the outdoors.
Two cars can park on the drive way and there is plenty of free street parking available in front of the house. As a pet lover, I am happy to accommodate those travelling with pets. The house does not have a fenced yard and we charge an additional pet fee of $25 per day per pet. The area is very dog friendly and you will see people walking their dogs at all times of the day throughout the neighborhood.
Plaza-Midwood is arguably the most happening neighborhood in Charlotte and this house is as close as you can get. The central business district of Plaza-Midwood on Central Avenue is one block away. Some of Charlotte's best known hangouts are a stone's throw such as Thomas Street Tavern, Legion, Pilot and Resident Culture Breweries, Common Market, Zada Jane's Cafe and so much more. Yet the large oak and magnolia trees on the property provide enough cover that you feel like you are in your own hideaway in the middle of the city.
For getting around Plaza-Midwood, you will only need your 2 feet, but if you want to explore other parts of Charlotte, Uber and Lyft are easy and cheap options for Charlotte. An Uber/Lyft to Uptown, NoDa, Meyers Park are $7-$10. There is a bus stop a block from the house for the Charlotte public transportation system (CATS) that takes you directly to the heart of downtown and buses come by every 7-15 minutes.
This is co-hosted by Tara - who lives just down the street. She is a call/text away and has plenty of recommendations for places to eat and visit. The property has self check in/out, but Tara will be happy to greet you in person should you desire or leave you alone.
We like to keep our neighborhood quiet and respect our neighbors, so do not allow parties or events and ask that you observe quiet hours after 10 pm. Smoking is not allowed on the premise.
