The Cookiebutter Cabin is the one of two magical cabins nestled together in Bass Lake. Rustic, fun, and funky, the Cookiebutter Cabins are the most unique in the area!
Built in 1943, and recently upgraded, this FRONT CABIN is perfect for couples, families and friends looking for an intimate getaway. Every nook and cranny is loaded with fun trinkets, gadgets, games, history, and picture perfect backgrounds. A full kitchen allows you to cook any meal you please, and includes over 50 spices! A rustic charcoal BBQ sits on the back deck for the avid griller. A Nintendo 64, SNES, board games, puzzles, a piano, and an outdoor fire pit enhance the overall experience.
Please note: All beds are new and come with a 2” memory foam topper to make for a plush feel. Topper may be removed if you prefer a firmer mattress.
You are a breezy 7 MINUTE WALK to Bass Lake, and a short 25 minute drive to the Southern Gate of Yosemite National Park.
NOTES:
(1) The Cookiebutter is the larger of two cabins on property and has it's own driveway, yard space and back patio with fire pit and grill. Guests for the second cabin utilize a pathway alongside the property to access their home. Cabin #2, aka “The Snickerdoodle”, is also available to rent!
(2) Heat / AC: The house has mini split heater/AC units in each of the bedrooms and the kitchen. A brand new propane fireplace has been installed in the living room for additional heat.
(3) IMPORTANT: This is an older house where stairs are steeper, windows are thinner and decor is vintage, which may not be suitable for the elderly or young toddlers. The “Cookiebutter” is a perfect balance of rustic atmosphere with enough modern appliances to create a comfortable stay.
(4) Bedding Configuration:
Bedroom — 1x Full Bed
Loft #1 — 1x Queen Bed
Loft #2 — 2x Twin Beds
Living Room — 1x Queen Pull Out
(5) Pet Friendly — 2 Pet max.
(6) Outdoor fire pits are not allowed during county-wide burn bans, which can occur in the high summer and fall months. This is due to heightened fire risk in the area at those times. Outdoor BBQ grill and indoor propane fireplace is allowed year-round.
(7) No parties or large groups. Exterior cameras are used to ensure you do not exceed your guest limit.
Early check-in and late checkouts are usually unavailable. This includes luggage and grocery drop-offs. Please kindly plan your grocery shopping/traveling around the 4 PM check-in time (you can check in after that as late as you would like). If you need to check in early or check out late, we strongly recommend booking an additional night on the front end or back end of your stay. This will allow you to check in as early or check out as late as you need. Most homes up here have a 10AM checkout. We do 11AM to give you extra time. Our housekeepers and cleaning inspectors work all over the mountains, and timing is usually tight.
California Highway Patrol may require chains and/or 4 wheel drive with snow tires during winter and spring months. Please prepare accordingly.Unfortunately, no refunds can be given for guest's lack of vehicle preparation.
Due to the high demand of this property, and the amount of inquiries it gets across different booking platforms, the cancellation policy will always be upheld. We STRONGLY recommend purchasing some type of travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!
