Summary: Hotel California by The Eagles kept playing in my mind lol. An experience to say the least, it’s a huge building list in the boardings and if coming from the wrong way looks derelict. Inside the overworked staff are trying their hardest, with the guy on bar the stand out representative! Only 1 reception with a query so a queue to check in quickly developed, she called for help only for the person to come and say she’d forgotten her log in details and go. There was 1 lift, used by staff and guests, felt like staff got priority. The room was definitely not what I expected and a jacuzzi bath! Privacy curtains over the huge windows would help as closing the curtains meant it went dark. Breakfast was a total let down, you need to be there early I think as we went at 8:30 and 9 and both times very little available an what was there was over cooked or dried up. There were 3 staff and a chef from what we could see, but with 2 chatting it left 1 poor lady to clear tables and set up, I sat down and got something sticky on my dress from the table. Overall go for the history of the building and to look at the ceiling in the hall.
