Enjoy sunsets over the Ashley River, grand live oaks, a private pool, floating dock, and screened-in porch for the quintessential lowcountry experience. Serve meals in our full kitchen, grill out, or explore the many word-class restaurants of downtown Charleston, a quick 15 min ride south. The 4 bedrooms have office space with excellent WiFi, so you can work from home away from home and stay awhile.
The space
We have three ‘private suites' with full baths and one ‘kids’ suite’ with private full bath and, importantly, a bathtub! The house does offer some handicap accessible features, though we cannot claim full ADA compliance. If this of interest to you, drop us a line and we’ll tell you more based on your needs.
The River View Suite enjoys a gorgeous westerly view through spanish moss hanging from the live oaks over the Ashley River and sleeps 2 to 4.

The Marsh View Suite looks out over the expansive saltmarsh facing south. On the opposite side of the house from the porch, this room is ideal for those who are early to bed and sleeps 2.

The Kids’ Suite is a ‘finished room over the garage’ and sleeps 5. Northern light and isolation from shared spaces make this room quiet and dark, perfect for getting little ones to bed on time. In the closet of this room, you will find a pack-and-play and an infant swing.

Board games, cards, puzzles, and a TV with HDMI cable for laptop hookup and a Chrome cast plug-in for your convenience. Full fridge with freezer, a ‘beer fridge’ in the garage, kitchen oven and stove, microwave, coffee pot, Keurig, basic cooking utensils, pots and pans, outdoor gas grill, and an excellent local seafood store nearby make the kitchen easy to accommodate our guests with one dedicated dining room, but plenty of other tables and chairs on the porch, in the sunroom, at the breakfast bar, by the pool, etc. We provide basic things you may need as soon as you arrive, including olive oil, coffee, creamers, sunscreen, and bug repellent, but there’s a grocery store just down the road, not to mention a Wal-Mart nearby, where you can easily stock up.
One important house rule to note is no glass by the pool, please! We have plastic cups available for this reason, but keep in mind that cans work best for sodas or other beverages. We have some pool toys available, like goggles, and noodles. While it may be tempting to swim in the river the current can be very strong depending on the tide.
The neighborhood is incredibly peaceful with the sounds of seagulls, fishing boats, and friendly neighbors. We ask you respect the neighborhood vibe and turn off any outside music by 10 pm.
