Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Beautiful location near the pretty little village of St. Agnes, which caters to most of your needs. The house is well equipped and comfortable with underfloor heating and the wood burner making it extra cozy. The kitchen is very well supplied with a lot of cooking and food prep equipment and utensils. Access was easy via a key lock-box system.

Negative: There were some issues with the cleaning - certain things had been overlooked, for example the BBQ grid was dirty, there were hairs in the bathroom and a used ear bud had been left in the drawer of the ensuite, but essentially this was the fault of the cleaning company and not the owners. Also, the bedrooms are small and it is difficult to make your way around the beds because there are chests of drawers in the way that really don't need to be there, resulting in my husband injuring his foot. Also, I found all the large kitchen appliances quite difficult to figure out and spent a good deal of my time reading instruction manuals, which you don't really want to do on a 3-day mini-break. The decals have worn off the oven's knobs, so it is not possible to see which selections you've made or what the cooking temperature is. On separate note, I think it's a pity that this lodge looks straight out onto the one that has been built in front of it, which really obstructs the seaview. It seems all of the other lodges in this development had better views than this one.
