The Avalon Beach Bungalow OBX is an original OBX 'Bungalow' style home, that was re-imagined and renovated by Live Swell Custom Homes in 2018.

While cozy, at just under 700 square feet, the Avalon Beach Bungalow is one of the last remaining original Bungalows in our OBX housing stock. The place was re-designed in 2017 with an open flow to provide our guests a modern coastal living experience all while maintaining its original 1950's bungalow charm. Older beach bungalows, like this, can come with some imperfections. Your vacation is important to us, please read the entire listing descriptions and "Other things to note" to ensure the Avalon Beach Bungalow is a fit for you and your group.
Indoor Bathroom:
We have one bathroom inside - no tub - that features a small glass-enclosed shower and a multi-use shower head.
Outdoor Shower:
Most of our guests favorite place to shower is outside in the vintage masonry enclosed outdoor shower. This enclosure is very private and comes with a refreshing "rain shower" head for those hot summer beach days. In the winter months our guests can enjoy the warmth of the small wood burning stove that makes this time of year to visit more special!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and property. For those, that enjoy clean laundry, like us, we have a washer + dryer set up in it's own laundry room.

We invest a lot of time, money and effort to deliver exceptional stays for our guests. If deliberate damage, disrespect or lack of basic cleanliness is identified during the check-out inspection process, the guest of record will be charged to compensate needed cleaning and ensure the property is ready for incoming guests.
