Reflections is just a 1-minute drive and 5-minute walk from the quaint town of Old Fort. Known as the Gateway to the Blue Ridge, Old Fort sits at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is surrounded by lush forests and a diverse wildlife community. Old Fort's Native American and railroad history can be felt throughout town-including a hand-carved, 14-foot rose granite arrowhead on top of a 15-foot river rock with a concrete base featured in the middle of town. Within the mountains of Old Fort, you'll find Pisgah National Forest with over 67,000 acres that include hemlock forests, cove forests, bogs, and fens. Andrew's Geyser, Catawba Falls, and Point Lookout Trail are among some of the oldest and most celebrated outdoor attractions in Old Fort. Catawba Falls is a stunning 100-foot cascading waterfall, and Point Lookout Trail is a popular 4-mile paved trail that ascends almost 1,000 feet through the Swannanoa Gap.
