You might want to try your luck at Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino -- just a few minutes from downtown Murphy. The casino also has a bowling alley, a food court and an arcade. Be sure to pay a visit to the famous John C. Campbell Folk School (weekly events during the Summer). Go Antique Shopping, visit several local flea markets, or take a trip on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.
