Our Buche Berghaus is a peaceful getaway for all seasons. The house has all new insulated windows & doors. The large living room has a gas stone fireplace, a 55" flat screen TV, DVD player and wifi throughout house. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with all new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and tile floor and is well stocked and the large dining room seats 8 with new sliding glass doors to front deck. There is a wet bar and large pantry. The master bedroom has a king bed, completely renovated master bath and a flat screen TV. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, a flat screen TV and sliding glass doors to rear deck. The large loft has 2 twin beds and a game table. The main bath and half bath have been totally renovated. There is a full size washer (new) and dryer (new). There is covered parking for 1 car and driveway parking for an additional 4 cars. The rear deck has a chiminea, a fire pit and a beautiful view of the woods. The front deck has a propane grill, a table for 6 with winter views of the ski slopes.
We are not far from Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Year round activities include hiking, wineries, breweries, restaurants, fishing or enjoying the peaceful beauty of Beech Mountain from the deck or the cozy fireplace. Nearby summer activities include tubing, zip lining, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain coaster, high ropes course and kayaking to name a few. Winter activities are skiing, snowboarding, sledding and ice skating at the Beech Mountain Resort (1 mile from house). The average snowfall is 70 inches. The fall colors are breathtaking.
There are books and games for adults and children. We have a pack n play (provide own sheets) and highchair for the younger set. There are several snow discs for sledding.
We are Beech Mountain Country Club members, so during the summer, you can take advantage of club offerings like heated swimming pool, golf, massage, pickleball and tennis for a very nominal fee.
