Bright and cozy studio apartment available close to West Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah Forest Access Road. Your home away from home is situated on the edge of our mini homestead, home to 20 chickens and a few dairy goats and sheep. Fresh eggs from pastured, organic-fed hens are available daily.
During the summer months, our in-ground pool is all yours to enjoy after a strenuous hike or exploring the surrounding attractions.
In the apartment you will find a semi-separate entry area offering storage for coats, footwear and outdoor gadgets and toys. To ensure you are comfortable, we have equipped the apartment with its own mini-split, and you can adjust the temperature to your liking at any time.
Your comfortable efficiency has a full private bathroom, high-speed internet, a flat screen TV with Roku, and a Bluetooth speaker for your music. The mini kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a decent meal. It has a large microwave with a built-in convection oven, air fryer, rice cooker/steamer, electric kettle, coffee maker, and a high power induction hot plate. A washer and dryer and a hot iron are available upon request one door away. There are high quality towels, a new comfortable mattress, duvet, and soft sheets to make you feel at home, including several types of pillows to match your preference.
The space is attached to the main house, but it has its own private entrance and porch, facing a beautiful view of Mount Pisgah. There is a dedicated parking spot directly in front of the apartment with automatic lighting and a security camera. The neighborhood is on a cul-de-sac and extremely safe and quiet..Inside the apartment, there is a comfortable sitting area by the front window, perfect for enjoying a good read or a cup of coffee or tea. If you need to get some work done, there is a beautiful Amish-made drop-leaf desk with storage for office supplies, etc. The roomy closet provides you with ample shelving and hangers.
If you are bringing larger items to store, we can provide space in a building directly behind the apartment.
We are just a blink away from Pisgah Highway, but there is a large hill between the house and the highway, making the road invisible and almost inaudible. Our farm dog is extremely friendly and will bark on occasion, but never during the night and only for brief periods at other times.
