The Wacky Turtle is an updated, charming two story townhouse with it's own dock on a lovely canal. Bring your fishing rod! Tie up your skiff or small fishing boat on your own dock. This charming home is in a "Norman Rockwell" like community which is safe for jogging, walking, and enjoying the outdoors. If you like to golf you are a stone's throw from the community golf course with a restaurant & open to the public. Enjoy your morning coffee and the gorgeous view from the 2nd story balcony or from the deck off of the lanai or your personal dock on the water. Why is it named the Wacky Turtle? The turtles like to visit the dock area. Eat outdoors on the deck complete with a gas grill. Enjoy the view or have dinner in the Carolina Room (Lanai), with all windows over looking the canal on the first floor. The master suite has a full bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has an attached sitting room with a daybed/trundle. This is the room that can be used as a 3rd bedroom, separated by toile drapes. This bedroom has a balcony overlooking the canal. It also has a smart TV. WiFi is provided throughout as well as 2 designated parking spaces convenient to the front entrance. Quaint & artsy downtown New Bern on the water is a short drive. Paddle over to the marina close by with a restaurant & bar. You may rent this townhouse by the night (minimum of 3 nights), by the week, or by the (discounted) month. Summary: We were visiting family in Riverbend so it was very convenient for us since they were only 2 minutes away. Spacious, comfortable and clean. It was very cold so we did not get to take advantage of the enclosed porch. We will be back for sure.
