Welcome to Robin’s Nest, where you’ll find lakefront life in the heart of the North Carolina foothills! A private home directly on the water of Lake Hickory provides some of the best views in a quiet, safe, and convenient location of the lake. This home is ideal for up to 6 people. Feel like you’re away from all of the hustle and bustle, but know that you're minutes away from the activity. Water views can be seen from almost anywhere on the property. Take your morning drink to the private dock (the geese may be there to welcome you), deck, or stay inside to watch the sunrise, and repeat again when the sun sets.
The master bedroom, with its own private bathroom, features a king bed. The second and third bedrooms feature a queen bed in one and a full bed in the other. Each bedroom has a tv. The second bathroom can be accessed from either the second bedroom or from the living/kitchen area of the house.
The kitchen comes well equipped for prepping your meals together. The coffee bar is well stocked. Tea and coco are also available. The open concept living makes the dining/living area a place for everyone. Looking for the best seats in the house? Nestle yourself into the large chairs centered facing directly to the exterior wall full of windows overlooking the lake. This spot is perfect for game time or a good book, and when it's cold turn on the fireplace.
Interested in what’s to offer from the outside of the home? Take your pick of seating areas. Settle yourself on the outdoor couch or enjoy an outdoor meal at the outdoor dining table on the large deck. From the couch area you can also enjoy the gas firepit in the evening or move to the yard to build your own wood fire. A five-burner gas grill is included, with propane provided. Corn hole boards are located on the carport. Take the kayaks or paddleboat in the water, but ensure you wear the provided lifejackets as these activities are at your own risk. Once you’re done in the water sit atop on the floating dock and let the water mesmerize you.
Guest access:
Park your vehicles in the circular paved driveway that leads to a single vehicle covered carport. Four (4) cars can easily park in the driveway. Parking on the street is not permitted.
Other things to note:
Wanting to head out for some activity away from the house? Your only a few minutes away from the closest public boat ramp where you can drop your own boat in and tie up back at the house from the dock, or rent a boat during your stay. The closest marina is moments away. Drive only a few more minutes for dining, shopping, hiking, biking, semi-pro baseball, golf, arts museum, science center, zip lining, Lenior Rhyne University, Appalachian State Hickory campus, breweries, wine, and much more! Robin’s Nest is also conveniently located for day trips to Winston-Salem, Banner Elk/Boone, Charlotte, and Ashville, all within about an hour.
