Before you unload the car, the lake has already done its work. Lake Lynn is a sand-bottom ridge lake, calm and non-motorized, and on still mornings it holds the sky so perfectly you`ll stop mid-sentence. The house sits right on its shore: two stories of windows facing the water, a screened lanai wrapped around the pool, and a lawn that rolls down to your private dock.
Inside, the great room rises two full stories, anchored by a stone fireplace that climbs from floor to ceiling between walls of glass. Light moves through the house all day, and the lake follows you everywhere — from the living room to the upstairs balcony to the King Suite, where French doors open straight onto the pool deck.
Outside is where the days happen. Swim in the freeform pool under the screened enclosure, move between the hot tub and the cedar sauna steps from the water, and fire up the outdoor kitchen while the long table fills under string lights.
