This 4 bedroom / 3 Bath house sits on just over an acre, providing peace and tranquility of the mountains. You are guaranteed to feel at home in this spacious 2 story property. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace, enjoy the many entertainment features in the basement, or play outside underneath the stars.
Once you pull into this private property you will feel a sense of calm and relaxation. This home offers 4 Bedroom and 3 full bathrooms. Three king beds on the upper level and two bunk beds on the lower lever. With full kitchen amenities and two dining areas this is the perfect home for a multi family vacation or a group trip. On the lower level you will find laundry, a bedroom with two bunk beds, a full bathroom, and a large game room for indoor entertainment. The home is equipped with smart TVs and high speed internet. Relax outside on the large back deck or the screened in gazebo. The kids can enjoy the full play set in the back yard. You will be able to entertain in peace knowing that whole back yard is fenced in. Enjoy seeing the area wildlife and spending quality time together in the mountains!
Bowies Retreat offers our guests plenty of in home entertainment a foosball table, pool table, and arcade style video game in side! Outside there is a gazebo, firepit, swing, and corn hole. If you want to explore the area take comfort in knowing you are less than 5 minutes away from Chimney Rock, Lake Lure beach and Marina, The flowering bridge and many other local attractions ~ the location can't be beat!
You will have private access to the whole house and fenced in yard during your stay.
Other things to note
*Pets. - We are a pet friendly home. You will see a pet fee itemized prior to finalizing your reservation. Please send us a message tell us a little about your pets who will be traveling with you. Pet fee of $150 paid before reservation is confirmed. Max of 2 dogs on the property. Sorry but not cats or exotic animals are allowed during your stay. If evidence of an unapproved pet is located on the property there will be an $400 fine and it is grounds for immediate removal from the property.
*Minimum age for primary renter is 25.
*We have a 4-night minimum in the summer.
*There is a 2 or 3-night minimum the rest of the year and major holidays.

Along with the nightly rate, the following fees will apply:
*$59 Accidental Damage Waiver which covers up to $1500 in accidental damage during a guest stay. Any damage in excess of $1500 will be the guest's responsibility. Negligent or purposeful damage will be the responsibility of the guests and is not covered by the accidental damage insurance.
*Cleaning Fee: $275
*Rutherford County Lodging Taxes: 13%

Lake Drawdowns: The lake drawdown schedule is typically from the months of Jan- March as the town does any repairs needed to the dam. Boating, kayaking, and other water related activities will not be available during that time.
