A Sabbath Invitation… Our lovely, little lake house in the mountains of North Carolina has a beauty and stillness that fills you with peace. A family spent Thanksgiving trout fishing in the nearby river, a couple celebrated their anniversary with massages at Eeseoloa lodge, and a pastor settled into stillness for a weeklong silent retreat. We hope this will continue to happen. What occurs in a space matters. You can feel it when a space has been prayed in for years and years. That’s why chapels, cathedrals and sanctuaries feel so sacred to us. We want others to join us in praying, playing, resting, loving – Sabbathing – in this space. So, please consider our invitation… Will you join us in filling this little, beautiful lake house with loving energy? The mountains are covered in blooming rhododendrons in June. The air is cool and dry in the summer. The lake has a small beach for swimming and a beautiful golf course. Will you take some time here to reconnect with your partner? Spend a week in silent retreat? Use it as a home base to visit NC waterfalls, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville or the Appalachian Trail? Fish for trout in the nearby river?
