Escape to the mountains! This lovely cottage was once a 1920’s one room school house. The teacher’s residence was upstairs. It is located at the head waters of Fines Creek, not far from Max Patch Mountain. The fire pit and front and back porches are great places to relax and unwind right in the Smokey Mountains! Internet and hot tub included! The cottage is about 25 minutes to Waynesville and about 45-50 minutes to Asheville. Also the cataloochee ski lodge is about 40 minutes from the cottage to the the cataloochee ski lodge itself . It’s a great place to unwind for a long weekend for a small family or to have a small reunion . There’s great hiking on Max Patch Mountain just up the mountain with amazing 360 degree views!!
