Summary: Nice room and good location, however housekeeping was by request only and possibly chargeable, especially when stays of 14 nights or more were given a complimentary mid stay clean. Whilst we appreciate this is a small boutique hotel, we book hotels so as to have the room and linen freshened regularly - doesn't need to be daily. To have to make arrangements and potentially be charged extra for it wasn't ideal. We found the "fridge" in the room not very useful. It was probably only just about big enough for a small carton of milk and so found ourselves not able to keep drinks cool, which, in the middle of a heatwave, is not great. The room is big enough for a small fridge or drinks chiller so not sure why something bigger wasn't in the room. We would really have appreciated a fridge big enough to keep drinks in and at least one change of linen during our stay.
