The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, scenic, walkable (you can access the city greenway at the end of the street) and convenient to countless major attractions. Numerous restaurants, Starbuck's, Caribou Coffee, Harris Teeter, Laurel Hills Park and Crabtree Valley Mall are all within walking distance. Within just a few miles, you can access NCSU, Downtown, Carter-Finley Stadium, the Fairgrounds, PNC Arena, RDU airport, Cameron Village, NC Museum of Art, Dorothea Dix Park, Glenwood South, Umstead State Park, Lassiter Mill, Shelley Lake Sertoma Park, Midtown (also known as North Hills), Pullen Park, UNC/Rex Hospital and SAS. The location simply can't be beat.
This is not an event home or party house. It's a place for those who exercise courtesies such as using coasters, removing shoes and following the check-out guidelines.
This spacious home offers an easy, enjoyable and memorable experience - you'll find everything from a cheese grater in the kitchen to luxurious bedding and everything in between to make life easy! Offering an amazing connection between indoor and outdoor living, with french doors opening directly onto the expansive deck, and plenty of cozy seating both inside and outside, guests have lots of options for together time. But don't worry...if quiet time is what you desire for working, reading, meditating or even napping, there are plenty of nooks of privacy, too.
At the end of a full day, you can climb into a luxurious bed, styled with brand new high-end sheets and stylish and comfortable bedding. Three of the bedrooms have brand new mattress/box spring combinations. There's also plenty of unused space in three of the bedrooms for air mattresses or sleeping pads if you have children who prefer to sleep in the same room as you. There are single and queen sized air mattresses available by request.
You'll find several kinds of coffee and creamers available upon your arrival, in case you get in late or just need a pick-me up before unpacking.
And speaking of unpacking, it will be a breeze. You can back your vehicles into the spacious 2-car garage and easily unload all of your items. The driveway is flat and can two additional cars.
There is also a play-house in the backyard for children. Our kids love it! It's a small house, with insulation and sourced with power. It has Pottery Barn toy kitchen appliances in it to keep your little ones busy.
The large fenced backyard is a WIN for everyone. Kids can run or play in the playhouse, furry friends can safely enjoy the outdoors, and everyone can relax around the firepit, which often leads to making smores!
We love dogs and take Rusty (our 10 year old lab) everywhere we go, so we certainly understand traveling with your pets! We do have a few guidelines for sweet furry friends:
*Please let us know ahead of time so we can APPROVE your furry friend
*$150 non-refundable fee per pet per stay
** While we love him dearly, Rusty is not allowed on furniture or beds. We"ll ask
you to honor the same guidelines with your furry friends. THANK YOU for your help with this!
The house is ideal for 8 people. There will be an extra charge per night for more than 8 adults, although with the use of the air mattresses and depending on the ages of children, the house can accommodate more than 8 if children are part of the total number.
8 adults is an absolute maximum.
All in all, it's a perfect home away from home! Ideal for families, groups and even business travelers who prefer a home over a hotel.
