Come enjoy a mountain getaway in a private gated community just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy all of the amenities that Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock have to offer. The cabin is nestled within 4 wooded acres offering ample space and privacy to enjoy nature. The fenced in back yard offers unobstructed long rang winter views. There is a balcony off the main floor with a gas grill , a fire pit, and a brand new hot tub. The beautiful mountain views and the rushing sounds of the river, makes The Gateway Getaway the perfect mountain escape for families, friends, or a romantic weekend away. Inside the cabin sits two full size king bedrooms, two full baths, and a loft with an additional day bed and trundle providing two twin beds. Each room will be equipped with night stands and USB ports for charging accessibility. Two flat screen tvs are located in the cabin, both with ROKU attachments making them smart TV compatible.
This is a dog-friendly home. A $250 pet fee (plus tax) will be applied to your reservation if you plan to bring a pet with you. (Please inquire with owner for approval prior to booking your reservation) Maximum 2 dogs allowed. Pet Addendum must be signed and fees paid in full prior to receiving the access codes for check in. Dog(s) must be house and crate trained. Sorry, no cats or exotic animals are allowed. Failure to get pet approval prior to your stay will result in a fine of $400.

Chimney Rock State Park State Park provides its own set of trails, as well as, rock climbing and bouldering. In Lake Lure, you can find the marina, fishing, or relax at the lake’s public beach. Want to get out on the water? Visit our friends at Lake Lure Adventure Company; located only 4 miles from the cabin. They offer pontoon boat rentals, water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and SUP & kayak rentals.

Our home is fully equipped with everything you should need to offer in house breakfast, lunch, or dinner including a gas grill.

In 2021, the plan is to begin lowering the lake on 11/1/21 and will being to refill the lake on 3/31/2022. The lake will not be accessible by boat, paddle boards, kayaks, or any other water devices.
