Located just 10 minutes from historic downtown Waxhaw, The Keyhouse Villa sits off a quiet, picturesque country road offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by rolling pastureland and some of the area's most beautiful horse farms. While the home feels tucked away, guests are just minutes from Waxhaw’s charming Main Street, which features local shops, dining, live music, and a beloved community park in the heart of downtown. This location blends the tranquility of rural North Carolina with easy access to small-town experiences, making it ideal for both rest and exploration.
Guests have full access to the home and entire property, including all indoor living areas and outdoor amenities: the firepit, dining area, lounge chairs with umbrellas, bocce ball, cornhole and fenced-in yard.
The only space not available during your stay is the shed located at the rear of the property, which is currently being prepared as a future guest amenity.
Everything else—inside and out—is yours to enjoy.
The Keyhouse Villa is an intimate, design-forward home thoughtfully curated to sleep five guests in comfort. Each room has been prepared with care, offering warmth, style and smart functionality.
The primary suite features a king-size bed, a full private bathroom and a cozy corner sofa that pulls out into a single bed with a real memory foam mattress and full linens. A desk offers flexibility as a workspace or vanity area, complemented by a lighted makeup mirror.
The second bedroom includes a queen bed, chaise lounge and a similar desk/vanity setup with a lighted mirror. This bedroom shares access to the second bathroom, located conveniently across the hallway.
The kitchen is beautifully equipped with major appliances and thoughtful amenities, including a Keurig® Duo, a Fellow® tea kettle and pour-over set, and a grinder for locally roasted beans provided by your host. Lavazza® pods, hot chocolate, and a variety of sugars are also provided. Cookware, utensils, dishes, mugs, colanders and baking supplies are all fully stocked. A stacked laundry area is tucked into the kitchen for guest use.
Gather around the oversized kitchen island, which comfortably seats four on swivel counter-height stools or enjoy coffee and conversation at the small dining table in the adjacent living space, positioned near the front window. NOTE: separate dining areas:)
Each bedroom and the living room includes a smart TV, giving guests access to their favorite streaming entertainment throughout the home. For your listening please, a portable Marshall bluetooth speaker may be connected to your own device.
Step outside into a fully fenced and gated yard, offering privacy and serenity. The outdoor space includes a firepit with seating, a dining table for four on the patio and a small lounge area shaded by umbrellas. Bocce ball and cornhole are also available for guest use on the artificial turf area.
While children are welcome, please note this home includes curated furnishings and delicate finishes that may not be suited for unsupervised play. Parents are kindly encouraged to monitor children at all times both indoors and in the yard. That said, infant and child accessories (such as high chair, pack-n-play, infant tub, etc.) are available upon advance request, as they are kept stored until needed.
The Keyhouse Villa is located just 10 minutes outside downtown Waxhaw along a scenic country road. While the surrounding area offers peaceful rural charm, A CAR IS NECESSARY for transportation during your stay. There are no nearby train or bus stations, and rideshare services like Uber or Lyft may be limited depending on demand. Ample parking is available on-site within the gated property.
Prior to your stay, we require you to complete and sign a pre-arrival form and rental conditions agreement.
Special Care must be taken when entering and/or exiting the gated driveway.
Master Bedroom – The adjustable king bed in the master bedroom is for adult use only. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to use or operate the adjustable bed at any time. Remote batteries are provided.
Batteries are provided for the remote.
PETS are welcome (3 max) ONLY with prior written approval and applicable fees. First two pets are $50/PET/STAY Pet #3 $100 (three pets $200) ALL pets must be attended to while outside in the fenced area and crated when guest(s) are not on the property.
A LARGE dog house is available as well. PET waste is the guests responsibility, bags and disposal means are provided.
NO SMOKING PROPERTY INDOOR AND OUTDOOR violations shall incur $500 fee charged to credit card on file.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS FEE: Maximum occupancy is FIVE (5) Guests, additional guests shall be charged at $50/guest/night (7 Total Limit)
This home is intimate, carefully designed and best suited for up to five guests. More than five may feel crowded and could impact the comfort and atmosphere of your stay.
