Charming open concept 3 Bedrm/ 2 Bathrm craftsman cottage located 2 min from dwtn So Pines, 15 min from dwtn Pinehurst, 30 min from Ft Bragg, and min from renowned golf courses, & equestrian events. A fanstastic place for a girls wkend, golf trip, romantic getaway, or family reunion. Located on 0.5 acre lot, near great restaurants & breweries (see our guidebook).
The space
As you drive down our street, you will notice multiple quaint bungalows and cottages. Our street is mainly home to young military families. Our home is on the left down a longish gravel driveway (we sit on a half acre lot). The cottage has a wrap around porch with 2 chairs and a porch swing toward the front. As you walk around the side you will see the gas grill and the fire pit with a seating wall and adirondack chairs in a private garden surrounded by the house to the side, woods behind, 6 ft wooden privacy fence to the other side and garage in front.
Upon entering the cottage, you will see an open great room/kitchen dining area. To the right is the sitting/TV area which has seating for 6 (11 if you swivel the 4 stools at the large kitchen island behind the sofa and the pouf). To the left is dining area featuring an indoor herb window garden, an antique oak table and chairs for up to 6 and vintage fox hunting artwork. The lighting throughout consists of canned and pendant lights so you will be able to the brightness level you prefer. The kitchen boasts a large granite island with sink, all stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove/oven! The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses, coffee mugs, silverware, cookware, pots & pans, cutting boards, knives, mixing bowls, spices and many other kitchen appliances.
The coffee & tea nook features a keurig coffee maker and electric teapot. We keep a nice selection of coffees and teas… let us know your preferences and we will customize your setup to suit your taste!
Directly behind the kitchen is the laundry room which is equipped with full size washer and dryer, laundry supplies, and iron.
Also at the back of the open living area is the hallway to the bedrooms and bathrooms. To the left is a hall closet with extra towels. Next is the 1st bathroom which features a tub shower/toilet room which closes off from the sink area. Basket drawers have been added to the sides of the vanity to provide extra storage space.
The first two bedrooms share the hall bathroom. One has a queen size bed, a night stand with charging station and an antique dresser mirror combination. The other has similar with 2 twin XL beds, night stand and antique dresser. The first bedroom has a world traveler motif and the second bedroom is designed with a whimsical flair. Each room has a large closet for anything you would like to hang or put away. These bedrooms are carpeted.
At the very end of the hall is the largest bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The bedroom features a queen size bed, large dresser, night stands with charging stations and a walk-in closet. There is a door to a private deck in the backyard. The large ensuite bathroom is a highlight of the cottage with its chandelier, glass shower with rainshower faucet, soaker tub and two raised windows. Truly a place to let any stress wash away.
