Transylvania county is named “the land of waterfalls” - There are over 250 waterfalls within a 20 mile radius. We are also located in the fly fishing Mecca of the U.S. at the bottom of the mountain you will find Headwater Outfitters, which offers fly fishing, kayaking, food trucks, tap room and river tubing down the 3rd oldest river in the world, the French bread river.
You will need four wheel drive to get up to “chateau on the mount” and if you have to connect to the outside world, don’t worry, we have wifi.
