The Cabin Experience
Inside, Cortland welcomes you with warm natural materials and calming tones that reflect the quiet beauty of the surrounding forest. Every detail, from organic bamboo bedding to the spa inspired stone bathroom, was thoughtfully chosen to create a space that is both elevated and deeply restful.
The main living area features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the trees, filling the space with natural light and creating a peaceful connection to the landscape outside.
A comfortable living area and thoughtfully stocked kitchen make it easy to settle in and enjoy slow mornings or relaxed evenings after a day exploring the mountains. Tucked just off the main living space is a cozy bunkroom, creating a welcoming sleeping space that’s especially loved by families with younger guests.
A spiral staircase leads to the loft bedroom, where a king-sized bed rests beneath skylights overhead.
The spa-inspired bathroom features a rainfall shower and soaking tub combination, along with a heated toilet seat, bidet, and plush robes, creating a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring.
Just outside, the back porch with rocking chairs offers a peaceful place to enjoy the forest surroundings. Guests can gather around the cabin’s private outdoor fire table or soak in the private hot tub beneath the stars.
Guests of Orchard’s Edge are also welcome to gather at the retreat’s community Embergrove, which includes a stone firepit along with picnic tables, charcoal grills, and hammocks- creating a shared space for enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Orchard’s Edge is currently in Phase 1 of a five-phase development plan. Today, the retreat includes three luxury cabins and The Embergrove, a shared gathering space with a stone firepit, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and hammocks tucked beneath the trees.
As the retreat continues to grow, guests can look forward to a fourth cabin, private hiking trails, and curated experiential packages coming soon. The full masterplan includes fifteen custom cabins and a collection of bespoke amenities including a spa, library, stargazing observatory, organic-style pool, pottery studio, and event space… all created to offer an immersive, one-of-a-kind way to experience the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Orchard’s Edge Mountain Retreat is currently welcoming guests for the soft opening of Phase 1 of our five-phase boutique resort development.
