There is a community common area on the Little Tennessee River with amenities all can enjoy. The river is beautiful and tube and canoe friendly. There is a fire pit, picnic pavilion (covered and lighted), a community gas grill, a little trail by the river, a river dock with fish cleaning station, a small playground, and several swings along the water. Feel free to walk the roads throughout the neighborhood for a nice hike.

-Clayton – This is a little south of the cabin, but a cute downtown with several restaurants.
-Highlands – Gorgeous drive and an amazing town not too far away. Tons and tons of great restaurants, shops, waterfalls along the way, zip lining, gem mining, sledding, and a couple of nice spas. Be sure to check out the Old Edwards Inn. This is where you want to go to play golf – pristine courses!
-Cherokee – Awesome area with the Cherokee Indian Reservation, tons of shops, Elk, Cherokee Indian history, a cook museum park and zoo called Santa’s Land, a river flowing thru the area that you can wade through. Be sure to get tickets to attend the long-running drama Unto These Hills, a moving story of the Cherokee Indians. Also, the home of Harrah’s Casino.
-Cashiers – Another great little town with amazing shops and restaurants. Great place to play golf! You will love strolling thru this quaint little town.
-Asheville – Many, many great restaurants and breweries, shopping, outlet stores, antique stores, The Biltmore House, Grove Park Inn, shopping in Biltmore Village, hiking, and a really cool/artsy downtown. Check dates/times and plan to attend the Scottish Highland Games.
