5 Bedroom Cabin in Minocqua
Pine Cove Cabin, featured in the Oct/Nov ‘23 issue of Country Living magazine, overlooks picturesque Lake Katherine, known locally as the "Queen of Lakes" due to its crystal clear waters and sand/rock bottom. The lake is roughly 525 acres of recreational & fishing paradise in the great Northwoods of Wisconsin. Enjoy the best of both worlds, as this quiet cabin is located only 5 minutes from bustling downtown Minocqua!
In 2018, a gift of over 400 acres and totaling 4.4 miles of Lake Katherine shoreline was donated to the Northwoods Land Trust. This land, known as the Yawkey Forest Preserve, has allowed Lake Katherine to remain one of the most undeveloped and naturally beautiful lakes in the state. The future for Lake Katherine as a protected public land is very bright!
At Pine Cove, you are sure to enjoy our roughly 110' of shoreline and beautiful southwest views. Enjoy the summer sun until late in the day for warm afternoons/evenings by the water, and then listen to the loons sing from the dock as you watch the brilliant sunsets!
Enjoy your time at the lake with access to many fun "toys", including: 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, a pedal boat, 2 stand up paddle boards, a floating swim raft, hammock, grass volleyball court, furnished screened-in lakeside gazebo with adjacent deck, charcoal grill, picnic tables, fire pit & free firewood. Oars and lifejackets are also provided. We also allow guests to use a 12' row boat that we keep on-site; feel free to rent a 9.9 hp motor in town to get to all the greatest fishing spots!
The cabin itself was built in the late 1920's and still retains many of its original, rustic features after undergoing a large scale renovation from 2017-2022. All new utilities along with a fully finished basement with plenty of communal, sleeping and storage space.
A large sunroom facing the lake makes a great dining area for 12 or the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee with a view of beautiful Lake Katherine. You will also find a separate, more lounge-y sunroom sitting area.
There are 3 main level bedrooms, all with a view of gorgeous Lake Katherine!
The main level also has two bathrooms. One has an original claw foot tub and the other has a stand-up shower stall.
In the lower level you will find 2 additional bedrooms complete with a king size bed and views of Lake Katherine, a 3rd bathroom, laundry room, pool table, gas fireplace and cozy living area.
You will find plenty of seating within the cabin in our large but comfortable living areas, along with rainy day activities including: books, puzzles, DVDs & games for all ages! Two smart TVs, a DVD player & WiFi are also available.
The kitchen is newly renovated with plenty of dishes & flatware for large groups and a beautiful, vintage farmhouse sink. There are many utensils, pots, pans and other small applianes that make cooking while you are here a breeze!
A second refrigerator sits in the porch for "beer & bait" storage. You will also find plenty of storage space in the attached screened porch and lakeside gazebo which has an additional mini fridge.
A short walk leads down to the lakeshore. You may also take a recreational vehicle down to the water's edge where you will enjoy the dock, gazebo with attached deck, hammock, volleyball court , sandy area for kids to play, anchored swim raft & lots of fun recreational equipment.
Just off of the sunroom there are two picnic tables, 8 Adirondack-style chairs, and a fire pit area complete with a Weber charcoal grill and plenty of firewood.
Feel free to bring your own boat to dock at our spacious cedar pier!

*Linens will NOT be provided (i.e. sheets & kitchen/bath/beach towels). We do provide ample pillows and blankets.
**No pets. No smoking. No parties. If you choose to smoke outside, you will be expected to clean up the remains.
