Drop the anchor at this beautiful freshly remodeled salt box canal front home. Located on the peaceful waters of Colington Harbour, this home is ready for your boat, jet ski, stand-up paddle board or kayak adventure. The community boat launch ramp (fee) is available nearby for a quick launch.
At the front of the home, you will be welcomed with ample parking on a quiet cul-de-sac street. Entering the home on the ground floor, you will enjoy two empty lots on either side of the home giving you plenty of room to grill or play cornhole. You will find an enclosed outside shower, a picnic table, a charcoal grill and Private dock.
From the dock you and your family can fish, crab or start a boating, kayak /stand-up Paddle adventure down the scenic canal, winding its way through the waters of Colington out into the Albemarle Sound on an adventure that is sure to be one of the highlights of your vacation! There are two single seated pelican kayaks and life vests to use while you are there.
On the outside of the 2nd floor, you find the open-air screen canal front deck with extraordinary views of water, & wildlife. Watch the activity of the canal while enjoying morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on this delightful furnished deck.
Inside is a comfortable well-furnished living area that awaits you with a sofa and loveseat, large 58” screen TV that opens to the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar that can serve seafood and steaks at the water view dining area. The 2nd level also has one Queen bedroom with a TV and a full bathroom that is also available. This level also has a cute seating area for reading or enjoying some quiet meditation time. The kitchen includes a laundry area with a washer and dryer as well.
On the outside of the 3rd level, you will find a deck with seating that overlooks the canal and is perfect to watch the sunrise, directly accessed through the Queen master bedroom which also includes a large 55” TV. There is also a bedroom with a twin over a full bunk bed with a tv perfect for gaming or streaming. A full jack and jill bathroom exists on this level connecting the two rooms.
Getting to the beach is easy and only a short 10-minute drive to a beach access with parking, bathhouse, and life-guarded beach in season, located at the end of E. Ocean Bay Blvd. You will find Numerous restaurants, grocery stores, & shopping centers close by. Spectacular community amenities including: a huge sound side park with sandy beaches, a playground, and sheltered picnic areas, a basketball court, as well as a boat launch and boat slips for rent.
Also, the Yacht and Racket Club, which allows use of the two outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, and community clubhouse. You can use the facilities for a small $2 fee per person for the week (which is refunded when you hand the wrist bands back in at the end of the week) New Ping Pong table for 2018!
It’s also only a hop, skip and a jump from the most amazing trails just over the bridge near the Wright Brothers Memorial, a great place to take the kids or find that serenity in the morning. This home is the perfect place to drink that margarita and find that Lost Shaker of Salt.
