LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, SHUMONT LAKE, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open!
Welcome to Cedar Ridge! Offering a peaceful log cabin with three private bedrooms, three full baths, a fire pit, and a game room! Cedar Ridge offers lovely views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is located 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Lure. With two acres of land, the home offers a unique combination of privacy and a cozy cabin feel.
Cedar Ridge features a spacious open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and mountain views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The living room has two comfy sofas, a television, and a stunning stacked stone gas fireplace. Roku TV for streaming. Your fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including an electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, Keurig coffee maker & regular coffee maker, cookware, and dishes for everyone. A central island offers ample prep space and casual seating for three. The adjoining dining room comfortably seats six.
Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, 5 smart TVs, free WiFi, central heating, gas fireplace, in-unit washer and dryer, fire pit, game room, and private furnished deck. Bedding, towels, and washcloths are all provided. In regard to blankets, because of COVID and new cleaning regulations, we will no longer have extra blankets in the cabin. Most guests bring their own, but it is completely up to you. The lower level is a bit chilly in the winter.
Lake Lure, just 3 miles up the road, offers lakefront dining, small-town shopping, and family fun and adventure. Lake Lure Beach & Waterpark is a great place to take the kids with lifeguards standing watch as they play in the sand or slide down the waterslide. Around the lake, you will find marinas with boat rental options, daily boat tours, dinner cruises, river tubing, fishing, golf courses, zip lining, gem mining, putt-putt golf, and more! Chimney Rock State Park is not to be missed, with spectacular views, rock climbing, hiking, waterfalls, and so much more. Spend the day golfing at one of Lake Lure’s three golf courses, or take some time to relax at the Rumbling Bald Spa and Salon.
