Welcome to Beside Still Waters in the village of Flat Rock, at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of NC.
Our family has loved vacationing at Beside Still Waters for many years, and we are thrilled to share it with you as you create your own memories. This peaceful getaway is located on Bonclarken Lake, inside the wonderful community of Bonclarken (neighborhood and conference center for Christian inspiration and renewal).
Beside Still Waters is perfectly located for mountain hiking, sightseeing, dining and shopping in Flat Rock and Hendersonville, and unwinding.
Whether you’re planning a mountain vacation, a 3 day getaway, or are attending a local camp or conference, we invite you to relax and be refreshed Beside Still Waters!

A wonderful layout of this beautiful home:
Plenty of parking on flat driveway for 4 or more cars.
The entrance of the house has no steps into the house.
As you enter the house take in the beauty of the cathedral ceiling and handsome decor and feel the warmth you've been waiting to find in a vacation home....
The main level is a delightful open concept for gathering with your friends and family.
Enjoy a kitchen very well equipped offering all SS appliances including two refrigerators for all your foods for your group.
For your convenience there is a laundry room with washer and dryer and some detergent next to the kitchen.
Gather at the long dining room table, seating for all 10 guests along with extra seating at the breakfast bar.
Relax and unwind in the lovely family room, offering plenty of seating and gas fireplace.
Step out onto the main level deck, spacious and again, plenty of seating as you enjoy your morning coffee gazing out over the lake and fountain as the sun comes up.
Main level also offers 1 bedroom.The Master bedroom to the left as you enter, boosts a King Sleep Number bed, an electric fireplace, and ensuite office overlooking lake. Adjoining this spacious, beautiful bedroom is your spa-like bath with garden tub and separate shower, double vanity and plenty of brand new, fresh towels and toiletries.
1/2 bath in the hallway.
Downstairs:
kitchenette in family room with piano, and 5 guest bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Guest bedroom #2 Offers a queen bed with an adjoining guest bedroom #5 with two single beds.
Guest bedroom #3 offers queen bed with adjoining sitting area and a Jack n Jill bathroom connects to Guest bedroom #6 with 2 single beds.
Guest bedroom #4 offers a queen bed with adjoining sun room.
Bedrooms 5 and 6 both have 2 Twin Beds.
Lower patio and sit in the white wicker rocking chairs to enjoy yet another view of the Bonclarken Lake and fountain.
Separate outside deck for grilling on a gas grill is also located on the lower level.
From Beside Still Waters Owners-
Our home is located on the grounds of Bonclarken Conference Center, the Conference Center of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Bonclarken hosts Christian camps and retreats throughout the year. As a guest in our home, you are welcomed by Bonclarken to walk around the Conference Center grounds, but please be respectful of the Christian nature of camps, conferences, and retreats taking place. Also note the Conference Center has a no alcohol policy (alcohol acceptable if inside our house) and a policy requiring pets to be on a leash at all times.
