The lower private portion is complete with everything you need to have a secluded getaway. Go trout fishing, exploring & walking all on the property. Includes your own peaceful waterfall! Everything you need is at your fingertips. Priced low to rent this summer!
SPACE:
Come enjoy a full twenty acres of cool mountain living. Complete with two streams, waterfall, trout fishing and trails. All on the property. If you just want to just cozy up inside and play games with your family, we have those too. From pool and darts to corn hole and board games. The private apartment has its own bathroom and shower. As well as a efficiency kitchen with coffee maker, dishes, and basic kitchen utensils. Cooking is done on a four burner gas range/oven. You will also have a microwave and medium fridge for longer stays. Everything you need to get away!
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests will have access to the entire living space shown and the full twenty acres that have many natural mountain features for you to enjoy!
GUEST INTERACTION:
Most days we are just upstairs to help with anything you and yours may need. But privacy is also deeply respected if so desired.
NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW:
Our home is very convenient to many outdoor activities outside the property. Activities such as zip lines, trout fishing, rafting, snow tubing, and hiking within minutes. We are also only 5 miles from all the high-end restaurants and shops in Highlands, NC!
GETTING AROUND:
Though the driveway is steep, any vehicle can easily navigate the paved road up. Only in snowy/icy weather will our guests need to use the back gravel driveway in the rear of the property or park on the pavement, in the lower meadow and walk up to cozy in.
HOUSE RULES:
PETS: $30 Cleaning fee. Pets are encouraged & allowed! As pet owners know, they are a lot of work sometimes. A $100 fee will be charged if a pet is visiting and is not declared. No exceptions. All pets MUST be very well socialized with other people/animals and cleaned up after, inside and out. Socialization is very important because there are many other well-loved, domestic and farm animals on far portions of the property. Pets ARE NOT allowed on the furniture or upstairs whatsoever. All this being said, we really do enjoy seeing new pet friends around! We hope to see yours!
ADDITIONAL NOTES ABOUT PETS:
We have our own onsite security! Have no fear, our entire homestead is watched over by Samson! A wonderfully huge and goofy black Newfoundland dog that is very friendly with all things nice. He is always so excited to meet new people and new pet friends. Don't be alarmed when he comes to say hi! He would never even hurt a fly. :-)
SMOKING: No smoking inside. $100 Fee will charged if this rule is broken.
FUN TIME: Though you have free rein of the entire property, we live most days in the top portion of the home. We sometimes leave early for our day jobs however. This doesn't mean you and yours can't enjoy yourselves at night though. Just as long as your activities are kept at respectable levels late night. Come have fun! It's what the mountains are for!!
