Neighborhood is safe to walk about in Nature Such a beautiful 2 miles walk in the morning is just what the doctor orders.. Wildlife, streams, Waterfalls, cows. Horses, Just make sure you SAY Howdy to all the people you see on the roads. It's a Gerton thing!! Close the day around the fire pit and Stargazing is everywhere you look up at beyond your wildest imagination! the Moon need I say more always a one if a kind!! Gerton Retreat is twenty minutes from basically everything. Twenty minutes from Asheville. Twenty minutes from Lake Lure and even closer to Chimney Rock. Twenty minutes from Hendersonville. Twenty minutes from Black Mountain. There are major hiking trails too numerous to name. Our location is ideal for a secluded and peaceful mountain weekend "at home" or for a week plus of exploring Western North Carolina.
