Welcome to The Azalea!
The Azalea is located between Boone and Blowing Rock, providing access to year-round High Country adventure. Within a ten minutes drive, guest have access to local restaurants, shopping, public parks, golf, and many other attractions in Boone and Blowing Rock. Tweetsie Railroad, High Gravity Adventures Zip Line, Mystery Hill, and more are about five minutes from the cabin. Appalachian Ski Mountain is ten minutes away and features a family-friendly lodge, skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Hop on The Blue Ridge Parkway, less than ten minutes from the cabin. Hikers of all skill levels are sure to find a favorite hike, or enjoy a picnic while taking in the layered mountain views from a scenic overlook. The High Country features festivals and events including the Farmer's Market, Horn in the West, and concerts. Wineries and breweries can be found from Blowing Rock to Beech Mountain.
The Azalea is an inviting log cabin located on a wooden lot, populated with mature trees. Upon entering the cabin, guests are greeting with a cozy living room with a stacked rock gas fireplace and Smart TV. Large windows provide warmth and light to the space, complimenting the vaulted tongue and groove ceilings. The eat-in kitchen is open to the living room, and has seating for six at the dining table. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and is stocked for all your cooking needs. Step outside on the covered back deck to enjoy the cool mountain with your morning coffee. The gas grill is perfect for preparing a delicious meal. The downstairs den provides an additional space for guests to spread out to watch TV, warm up by the gas fireplace, and play games. The side patio has a seating area with a built-in patio, perfect for making s'mores and sharing tales of your mountain adventures.
This charming cabin has three bedrooms spread out on three levels. The master bedroom, located on the main level, has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a tiled step-in shower and double vanities. The top floor bedroom has a king bed and TV, and access to the hallway bathroom. Downstairs, the third bedroom has a queen bed and TV, and access to a full bathroom on the lower level. Additional sleeping spots include a twin futon chair in the loft and a large bean bag chair downstairs that converts into a twin size cot.
Th Azalea provides WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and main floor powder room. Pets are not allowed at the cabin. The home accessed via a paved driveway and has parking for three vehicles. There are five steps leading to the covered porch. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers.
