Abernethy Forest sits on the edge of the cottage and is the largest remaining section of Caledonian Pine. The forests around are full of interesting wildlife from Red Squirrels, Crested Tits, Crossbills and Capercaillie. Walk from the village to visit Nethy’s own Castle Roy. Visit Ballindalloch, Cawdor and Brodie Castles. Glen Urquhart Castle and Loch ness - a 'must do' to see Nessie.
