Hidden Hills Farm Saddle Club | Cabin in Ooltewah, Tennessee
Enjoy stepping out of the bustle of regular life and into the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of our 500 acre horse farm and farmstead. The rustic, 300 sq. ft. hand-built log cabin is set in the woods just off to the side of the main riding facility. Decorated for the horse lover, the Guest Cabin is complete with kitchen, bathroom, and loft bedroom (see NOTE). Enjoy poking at a campfire, hiking the trails, meeting the farm animals, or scheduling a trail ride while you are here!
The space
The Guest Cabin is a cozy, rustic, hand-built log cabin, decorated for the horse lover (or at least admirer) in all of us. Set in the woods across a little wet-weather creek from parking, the Guest Cabin has a view of whole riding facility. The main living area is simply furnished with a small table and chairs and futon that opens into a full sized bed; the kitchen area is complete with an old-fashioned gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave and contains most of the basics. A small bathroom includes a shower to wash the barn dust off.
A comfortable queen sized-bed is comfortably made up on a memory foam mattress in the loft. NOTE that the loft is accessed by a steep ladder/stair; we don't recommend that heavy or inactive guests stay at the Guest Cabin.
Outside the cabin, guests can relax by a fire in the fire pit, hammock nearby, or eat at the picnic table and watch riding lessons across the way.
Other things to note
PET OWNERS: Please note that many of our smaller farm animals free range during the day, including two farm dogs. These dogs are herd animals, and while generally friendly, they are protective of "their" farm and will assert dominance to strange animals and people. Please keep your pets leashed at all times, and we recommend that you don't take them to the barn area or to milking at the the private residence.
TRAIL RIDES: If you would like to schedule a guided trail ride during your stay, please contact Hidden Hills Farm & Saddle Club' main farm number. We have limited ride times, so it's advisable to schedule in advance of your stay. Please note the following limitations:
1. Trail rides are scheduled Sunday-Friday; the barns are closed on Saturdays.
2. We offer rides for ages 10 and up and for riders 230 lbs and less. Younger riders can take "fun lessons" at the barn, which include fun riding games and a mini trail ride.
