This unique mountain cabin is nestled on the side of a mountain with terrific open views and plenty of fresh mountain air. Enjoy the Highwoods hiking trail just outside the cabin and the tremendous views if you can make it to the top. The drive into the property is very tranquil and relaxing as you pass spring fed ponds and a grassy meadow, it sets the tone for a relaxing peaceful stay.
You will be ideally located for day trips to all of the many things to do in Asheville and most everything else that Western North Carolina offers to visitors.
Located just 14 miles- about a 20 min drive from Asheville, add another 5 min. to get to the Baltimore Estates or the Blue Ridge Parkway.
When you return to Highwoods at the end of your adventurous day, you will unwind as you drive through beautiful countryside and arrive to your mountain escape. Enjoy a hot spa while looking out into the Bamboo garden on an open front porch. Star gazing is a great way to pass the evening on the back porch while enjoying a beverage of choice or listening to music or for the kid enjoy catching fireflys during the warm summer evenings. If you choose to stay home there is plenty to do as well. For outdoors enjoyment you can go for a hike, play a game of horseshoes or ladderball, followed up by toasting marsh mellows around the fire pit tucked in by the bamboo garden.
