Summary:
Beautiful historic Craftsman duplex in the Cleveland Holloway neighborhood. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and original 1920 beautiful hardwoods! Complete with Laundry, plush bed, subway tiled bathtub/shower, Smart TV in living, and a gorgeous fenced in courtyard with wicker seating and twinkling cafe lights; off street parking for compact vehicles accessible through back gate. This great place to stay right near downtown will check all the boxes on your wishlist!
The Space:
You enter the home into the spacious living room with a superbly comfortable designer leather couch, side chair and TV. The Sunny Kitchen features an eat in swivel stool dining table, gas range and dishwasher. The bathroom is complete with subway tile adorned bathtub/shower. There is a nook with built in desk for knocking out any work that needs to be accomplished. The bedroom has a plush queen bed, plenty of natural light (but blackout curtains in case you need those too!). The large bedroom closet also contains a full washer/dryer. We use Free & Clear Unscented laundry detergent on bedding and towels so our guests with sensitivities to perfumed products can breath easy. At the back of the bedroom you can access your own courtyard draped with twinkling cafe lights, and comfortable outdoor wicker chairs and table. The back patio is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or wind down in the evening under the stairs.
Guest Access:
The front and back door have a keypad so you can arrive when convenient and come and go as you please.
The Neighborhood:
The Cleveland-Holloway neighborhood is called 'Durham's Front Porch' with good reason! It beats nearly any other neighborhood in terms of proximity to downtown. It is within blocks of dozens of wonderful restaurants, bars and event spaces. This is an urban historic neighborhood and as such has foot traffic and mixed income neighbors.
Getting Around:
Lyft, walk, bike, bus or drive; it's all easy!
Other Things to Note:
As this is a duplex, we ask that guests on both sides of the unit are respectful with noise, especially after 9pm and before 8am.
Interaction with Guests:
We want you to be able to settle into this home as if it was your own. We'll stay out of your way, but we're just a quick message away if you have questions about restaurants, events or the house, or if an unexpected issue arises.
